Stool Painting By Lubicaart

Updated: Jul 28, 2023

I took great pleasure in bringing this handmade wooden stool to life with acrylic paint. When properly sanded and prepared, wood provides a naturally smooth surface with very little texture, making it an ideal canvas for ultra-fine detailing. The lack of surface texture allows for smooth brush movements, enhancing the painting process.

Acrylic paint pairs beautifully with wood. The paint adheres firmly to the surface, making it difficult to remove. This ensures that my artwork will not degrade, peel, or crack over time. Acrylic paint maintains its vibrancy on wood and doesn't alter its appearance, ensuring the longevity of my artistic pieces.

For my hand-painted wooden stool, I chose to use glossy paint from Pebeo. This choice further enhanced the overall aesthetics of the piece. The accompanying video and music were creatively contributed by my son, Milan Jr, when he was just 13 years old. I hope you enjoy the video as much as I loved painting the wooden stool.

One quote that I hold dear, from Bob Ross, is "All you need to paint is a few tools, a little instruction, and a vision in your mind." This sentiment resonates with my approach to creating art and is embodied in each of my unique hand-painted pieces.

I invite you to join me on this journey of creating and owning timeless art, made with love and dedication.
